This story is so sweet, there isn't a smiley big enough, especially when watching the video :)

Pioneering vet gives cat new prosthetic feet

I read the story yesterday, and I agree with you 100%. It was the nicest story I have read in a while.

It took me a while to explain to Phedra why Oscar had "funny feet". I think she may want to be a vet now.

Wow. That is amazing and I'm not even a science person (it is probably the kitty success story, he he). Love it--thanks for the share. :)

That's adorable, Rai :)

I just thought it was beautiful how much the vet cared. Did you see the look on his face? Talk about using your powers for good :D

Dang I can't get the video to work for me. I'll try again tomorrow. After all the comments, especially Phe's take on it, I really want to see it :P

If you have access to local papers, both the Star Phoenix and the Leader Post carried the story (the Leader Post by rumour; I did not actually see that paper).

I couldn't get any of the videos on that site to load. But I read the story. It is a wonderful thing to do.

I also don't get either the Regina paper or the Saskatoon one. I get the Esterhazy Miner-Journal :P It didn't carry that story.

Raya, this isn't the story itself but here is a YouTube video of Oscar walking around on his "funny feet" :)

What's so amazing to me is that they seem to be pioneering an implant technique that allows skin and hair to grow over instead of rejecting the metal. That's pretty geek-tastic. One day soon they'll be doing that for human amputees, too (or are they already?). That's really cool!
